Saw Dr Hewett today. Booked on the internet on Wednesday so 2 day appointment. Dr Hewett listens, shows empathy with problems. He explains everything fully and I would highly recommend Lime Tree Surgery. No matter what Dr I have seen they have all been very helpful. The doctor will always call back if you call first thing in the morning to save taking an appointment that you really don't need.

We joined this practice in 2003 and, at the time, it was the best decision we had made. Since then we have had some really great care, advice and treatment. Sadly, I personally have noticed an extreme decline since late 2015. I experienced awful, useless treatment during a very high risk, complicated pregnancy - nothing directly pregnancy related, more my own health irrespective of being pregnant. Often my midwife offered better advice even if it was not in her remit. Prescriptions have been queried by the pharmacy, and rightly so: wrong dosages on ill-advisable drugs not fit for the purpose; prescriptions for drugs/medications that were not requested; appointments made by request of the surgery only for me to find I actually couldn't be treated at that time for what I'd been called in for; lack of communication between reception and medical staff, resulting in unsuccessful visits, even a nurse refusing to see our 16-week-old son regardless that we'd confirmed with reception that we would be seen only 20 minutes prior. In my opinion: this surgery has literally got too big for its own boots. Whoever it is in management that is responsible for staff training should be replaced. It's totally farcical there now and definitely miles away from being the town's best practice. Doctors train for many, many years at university and train almost continually until retirement, so why are receptionists now the triage service before you're even offered an appointment? Why could my son of 8 months not get an appointment for nearly a month? Why am I having to call back each week to see if an appointment with my preferred GP has miraculously become available in the next 4 weeks? The question receptionists ask if you need a same day appointment is, "Is it an emergency?" Surely, if it were, it would be better to swing by A&E? Such a joke. We'll be moving practices very soon.

When talking to colleagues I am so thankful for being at Lime Tree. They struggle to even speak to a GP let alone get an appointment. My children are seen quickly if there is a problem and every dr is helpful and kind. The reception team go above and beyond to resolve problems and don't ask unnecessary questions. The GP s work hard and do their best for their patients .

My wife has been waiting since 28th Dec 16 for results of blood tests! She has on many occasions asked at the surgery if the results are in? I find the level of care dreadful, given that my wife is continuing to take medicine perscribed to her but with no clear results as to if she has the condition to which they are being perscribed!! In addition she also has mental health issues, because of these issues she finds it very hard to get the confidence to go to the surgery and ask about her results (she has given up telephoning regarding this matter as after leaving a message with a receptionist, she never gets a call back from a doctor) Today she came home upset once again that nobody seems to know whats happening. The receptionist asked her today if she had gone for the fasting blood test . . . . . . We have received no request for her to have one! If it wasnt so upsetting and worrying it would be laughable! I decided today enough was enough and pepared to construct a strongly worded email to the practise manager but obviously there is no email address. Conclusion: Practise not fit for purpose. If I could give no stars, that would still be too many.
